This Privacy Policy explains how BiteKaro ("the Application", "We", "Us", or "Our"), published by MyWorkflow, collects, protects, uses, and manages information when You use our mobile application. BiteKaro is a personal health, nutrition, and meal planning companion designed with a Local-First, Privacy-Preserving Architecture.

BiteKaro is intended strictly for general health, lifestyle, and nutrition management. It is NOT a medical device, nor does it provide clinical diagnosis, medical treatment, prescription advice, or medical nutrition therapy.

2. Interpretation and Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

Device or Other IDs refers to anonymous advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / AAID and Firebase App Instance ID).

Usage & Diagnostic Data refers to technical telemetry collected automatically by third-party diagnostic SDKs (such as crash stack traces and non-identifiable app performance statistics).

You means the individual using the Application.

3. Local-First Architecture & On-Device Encrypted Storage

BiteKaro is engineered so your personal health, dietary, and biometric metrics remain in your sole custody:

Zero Mandatory Cloud Accounts: BiteKaro does not require account creation, cloud registration, telephone numbers, or social media logins. You can immediately access recipes, calorie targets, and meal plans completely offline.

Hardware-Backed Encrypted Storage: Sensitive profile metrics, dietary selections, recorded weight logs, and allergen preferences are stored on-device using hardware-backed encrypted secure storage via the Android Keystore (`FlutterSecureStorage`).
•
No Central Health Database: We do not maintain or operate cloud servers that store copies of your personal dietary habits, health conditions, or body weight records. Your health profile never leaves your physical mobile device.

4. Health Disclaimer, Allergen Safety & Dietary Information

To ensure safe, transparent health and nutritional guidance:

Culinary Database Estimates: Nutritional values (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber) and ingredient lists provided in BiteKaro are mathematical estimates based on standard culinary and food composition databases. Actual nutritional values may vary based on ingredients, preparation, and brand variations.

Allergen Alerts: BiteKaro includes automated allergen tags (e.g. Gluten, Dairy, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Eggs, Soy). However, users must always independently inspect packaged ingredient labels before cooking or consuming food.
•
Medical Condition Consultation: Individuals with metabolic disorders, diabetes, kidney conditions, hypertension, eating disorders, or pregnancy must consult a certified physician or licensed dietitian before beginning any new meal plan.

5. Third-Party Services & Advertising

BiteKaro integrates minimal third-party SDKs to support free app operation and software stability:

Google AdMob: Displays non-personalized in-app advertisements without accessing or processing health, dietary, condition, or allergen information.

Firebase (Crashlytics & Remote Config): Collects non-identifiable crash diagnostics to fix technical errors and delivers non-personalized configuration updates.

Zero Health Data Sharing: We explicitly declare that no health, dietary, biometric, or allergen data is ever disclosed, transmitted, or shared with advertising networks or external third parties.

6. Device Permissions & Background Tasks

BiteKaro operates with the principle of minimal necessary device permissions:

Notifications: Optional permission to deliver scheduled daily meal reminders and hydration prompts locally on your device.
•
No Exact Alarms: BiteKaro adheres strictly to Google Play alarm policies and does not request or use `USE_EXACT_ALARM` or `SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM` permissions.

Network Access: Standard network access is used solely to load remote recipe photos, update ad units, and check for new application versions.

7. User Data Rights & In-App Complete Data Deletion

You have absolute control and ownership over your data at all times:

In-App Data Wipe ("Reset Profile & Delete All Data"): BiteKaro includes a dedicated one-tap data destruction tool under Settings -> Data & Privacy Controls -> Reset Profile & Delete All Data. Tapping this immediately and permanently purges all hardware-encrypted secure storage keys, dietary preferences, weight entries, custom recipes, and local cache from your device.

Operating System Clear Data: You can also wipe all local data at any time via Android device settings (Settings -> Apps -> BiteKaro -> Storage -> Clear Data).
•
Ad Identifier Control: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID at any time via Settings -> Privacy -> Ads on your Android device.

8. Children's Privacy

BiteKaro is a general audience health and nutrition application intended for adults and young adults managing personal meals. The Application does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe any minor has provided personal data, please contact us immediately for prompt deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate new features, recipe library expansions, or regulatory revisions.
