3. 100% Local-First Architecture & Zero Personal Data Tracking

Swivert is architected with a strict Local-First, Privacy-First core philosophy:

No User Accounts or Registration: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide any personal details (such as your name, email, or phone number) to use Swivert.

Zero Personal Data Tracking: We do not collect, harvest, profile, or sell any personal data.
•
Local SQLite Storage: All user data — including custom conversion formulas, calculation history, pinned categories, and theme preferences — is stored strictly and locally on your device in an isolated application database. This data is NEVER transmitted to or stored on external servers.

4. Network Access & Currency Exchange Rate Synchronizations

Swivert is designed to operate 100% offline for all standard measurement conversions (Length, Mass, Volume, Temperature, Speed, Digital Storage, Energy, Pressure, and more). Network access is utilized exclusively for:

Public Currency Exchange Rates: Swivert connects to public, open exchange rate endpoints (such as Frankfurter and open.er-api.com) to periodically synchronize benchmark global fiat currency conversion rates. These network requests are strictly anonymous and never contain personal information, calculation queries, or device profiles.
•
Local Caching: Fetched currency exchange rates are cached locally on your device (configurable up to 24 hours), enabling offline currency conversion based on the last retrieved rates.

5. Third-Party Services (Advertising, Consent & Diagnostics)

Swivert integrates industry-standard third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to display non-intrusive advertisements, manage regional consent, and ensure technical stability:

Google AdMob & Google UMP (Google LLC): We display in-app advertisements (banners, interstitials, rewarded unlocks, and native cards) to keep Swivert free. AdMob may process your device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) and coarse IP location to deliver ads and prevent invalid traffic. We implement Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather and manage explicit user consent in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and Switzerland.

Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics (Google LLC): Collects anonymized, aggregated crash reports and stability metrics to help us diagnose bugs, optimize performance, and improve reliability across diverse Android hardware.

Firebase Remote Config (Google LLC): Fetches non-personalized dynamic configuration parameters (such as exchange rate cache duration and optional feature flags) upon app launch.

Because all conversions, custom formulas, and user settings execute locally within your device’s sandbox, your data remains completely private. Any diagnostic data or ad requests handled by Google SDKs are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).

While we apply high-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Swivert is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and believe that personal data has been inadvertently provided to third-party SDKs, please contact us immediately to facilitate prompt remediation.

8. User Data Rights & Opt-Out Controls

You maintain complete control over your device and privacy settings:

Ad Consent Management: Users in EEA/UK regions can update or withdraw advertising consent at any time directly in the app by navigating to Settings -> Ad Privacy & Consent Preferences.

Advertising ID Opt-Out: You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time via Android device settings (Settings -> Privacy -> Ads -> Reset/Delete Advertising ID).

Local Data Deletion: You can instantly erase all locally saved formulas, conversion history, and cached rates by selecting "Clear All Data" in the app settings or clearing application data via Android OS settings.
